Hello, my name is Kristin Torrez. This is my 5^th year at The Ehrhart School, and my 4^th year as principal. This is my 21st year in education. I graduated from Lamar University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In 2013 I earned my master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership with Principal Certification. I received my school counselor certification through Inspire Texas in 2019. 

I became a proud Ehrahrt Eagle in 2020 when I was hired as the Assistant Principal/Counselor. Prior to Ehrhart, I taught first and second grade at Little Cypress Elementary, and I was a dyslexia intervention teacher at Silsbee ISD. 

I am married to Jared Torrez. In our free time we like to travel. We have 4 cats and a spoiled beagle. 

I am committed to student-centered education. I genuinely believe that “Dreams Start at Ehrhart,” and what starts at Ehrhart can change the world. I am ready to watch our Eagles soar!
