Welcome ~ Bienvenitos to The Ehrhart School

Parents and teachers choose Ehrhart for our small class sizes, TEKS based curriculum, fine arts, STEM, and athletics. Currently, we serve students in grades Pre-K through Eighth. The Ehrhart School earned a distinction from the Texas Education Agency for being a Top 25% Student Progress School in 2015 – 2016. If you would like to schedule a tour, please call the front office to set up an appointment. Student enrollment applications for our 2017 – 2018 waiting list may be picked up from our front office.

Snap and Share
We would like to encourage students and staff at Ehrhart to take a quick moment and snap a picture of where and what they are reading this summer. Send the picture to your Principal, Mrs. Long at clong@ehrhartschool.org.

When students return from the summer break, Mrs. Long will have a small prize for participating students. Please include the words "post it" if your parents give permission for your picture to be placed on the school's website. Also, remember to add your name and the grade you will be going into. Let's share what and where our Ehrhart Eagles read.

Our library will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. for book checkouts and AR testing. Students entering second through eighth grades who pass three AR tests at their reading level with an 80% or better this summer will earn a reward party and a free Scholastic book when we return to school in August. Students may not be dropped off at the school for the summer reading program. Parents may wait in the library or outside. (Please note that the library will be closed July 3rd - 14th.)

Check out the “great lengths” Mr. Flatten and Mr. Sedtal went to motivate their 8th graders on the STAAR Science and Social Studies exams. Great job students, teachers, and parents!

Morning drop off reminder: Students may not be dropped off until 7:30 a.m. when we have our staff on duty. If you park on 8th Street, by law you must park 30 feet behind the stop sign. Also, if students arrive to school tardy (8:01), they may not be dropped off across the street because our crossing guard isn’t out there after 8:00 a.m. Thank you for helping ensure the safety of our precious students!

The Ehrhart School is a Title I school. This means that more than 50% of our students are eligible for free or reduced price lunches. Title I is a federal program that gives additional money to schools that qualify this way. All students are benefited by this money which helps us to enhance instruction for all students.
